What are dermal fillers?

The most popular dermal fillers used today are made of a material using hyaluronic acid-based products. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are non-permanent, meaning that they are reabsorbed into the body over time.

What brand of filler do you use?

With our may years of experience in the industry we have tried and tested many dermal filler brands. Today our main brands in clinic are Eloquence and Teosyal that are both CE approved, highly regarded on the market and leave long lasting, amazing results.

What does the dermal filler procedure involve?

The first step in the process is to arrange a consultation with the aesthetic practitioner who has specifically been trained in the use of dermal fillers. It is strongly recommended that you research the clinic before going ahead with the treatment.

At the consultation you will fill out a medical consent form and the practitioner will go through all your details of medical history/current medication.

The practitioner will then discuss your requirements and expectations.

The practitioner will then be in a position to advise treatment options and make individual treatment recommendations.

At the consultation you will be told the cost of the treatment.

The practitioner will provide the risks associated with injectable treatment and you can then reflect on what has been said.

Treatments generally take around 30 minutes.

A topical anaesthetic cream will be applied prior to your appointment to maximise comfort during the procedure.

The majority of fillers on the market, has local anaesthetic in the product, making the treatment more comfortable. After having the treatment, you will be given and aftercare sheet which explains all the relevant necessary aftercare.

How painful are the dermal filler injections?

As a local topical anaesthetic cream is applied 10-15 minutes before treatment and the majority of Dermal filler products themselves contain lidocaine which is a fast-acting anaesthetic, the vast majority of patients find the injections tolerable with slight initial discomfort.

How long does the dermal fillers last?

Typically, most fillers last around six to nine months, with the exact time depending on the area applied and the individual patient, as some patients’ bodies break down the fillers faster than others.

How do I book an appointment?

All of our appointments go through an online system called Booksy. You can also click the book button on our social media platforms which will take you to the system where you can check availability and prices of treatments.

How much are your services?

All of our prices are online via our Booksy booking system.

What possible side effects can result from dermal fillers?

All dermal filler treatments have the risk of temporary bruising around the injection site, also swollen facial features during the initial healing period. The side effects and risks associated with dermal fillers will be discussed with the practitioner at your consultation.

Do you have any tips for maintaining my lip filler?

Drink lots of water to keep well hydrated. Avoid sunbed and extreme heat. We recommend top ups every 6-12 months.

When can I come back for a top up after having lip filler treatment?

Depending on the individual’s requirements, lips can be reinjected after 1 month once the lips have fully settled for patients who would like to add more volume. We would like to note that we may refuse you treatment if we feel additional filler is unnecessary.
